Bitget CFD launches Demo Account for risk-free strategy testing

Bitget has launched a Demo Account for its CFD product, becoming one of the first crypto exchanges to give traders a simulated environment to trade forex, precious metals, global indices, commodities, and crypto on real-time market data without committing capital.

The account opens with 10,000 USDT in virtual funds and is available in the Bitget App and website.

This Demo Account is activated right after agreeing to Bitget’s CFD terms, with no additional KYC or KYB step.

Virtual balances can be raised or lowered at any time with full control, allowing traders to model different capital sizes.

Positions run against live quotes across all CFD asset classes, so leverage, spreads, and price movement all closely mirror the conditions in the live market.

The Demo Account provides users with a simulated environment to familiarize themselves with CFD trading, from understanding market quotes, spreads, and overnight financing to exploring leverage, margin requirements, and risk management.

Using live market quotes, users can practice the trading process and observe how market movements affect their positions, without committing real funds.

The Demo Account also supports both Electronic Communication Network (ECN) and 0-Fee trading modes, allowing users to explore different trading fee structures.

More experienced traders can also test strategies through API integration before applying them in live trading.

The Demo Account sits alongside Bitget’s live CFD trading environment, allowing users to switch between the two with a single tap.

Strategies can be migrated and tested with minimal friction and cost while the live positions stay untouched.

“When entering a new market, understanding price movements is only part of the learning curve. Traders also need to understand the new trading mechanics, terminology, and risk management involved,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget.

“The Demo Account runs on the same quotes, leverage rules and liquidation logic as live trading, so traders can learn how CFDs and risk management work with none of their capital at stake.”

The Demo Account follows a series of additions to Bitget’s CFD infrastructure this year, including dynamic leverage and tiered margin management, CFD sub-accounts and the extension of Bitget’s Open API to CFD markets.

Together, they build out the traditional-markets side of the platform’s Universal Exchange offering, where users hold crypto and TradFi exposure in one account.
